For those who love the peace and simple rhythms of country life, Poggio Pratelli is the ideal place. Immersed in the glorious Tuscan landscape, you can rediscover the almost forgotten scents and sounds of nature. In the surrounding countryside its possible to take beautiful walks along old Etruscan roads or mediaeval pilgrimage routes, or hike the ridge of the Chianti Mountains which runs all the way from Florence to Siena, or admire the unique and rugged landscape of the “Balze” of the Upper Arno Valley, or visit some of the many lovely little Romanesque churches scattered throughout the area. At our farm it is possible to organize basket-weaving courses upon request and to gather the traditional weaving materials. In the fall (late October –November) you can participate in the olive harvest, and come with us to the olive oil pressing center to experience the creation of Tuscan olive oil! More Photos >>>
